What are Your Dream Inc. Chaplains about?
YOUR DREAM is relational in nature and builds bridges of trust, confidence and competency among students, staff and parents. YOUR DREAM is available to students and staff of all religious affiliations and does not seek to impose or persuade an individual toward any particular religious beliefs.
The YOUR DREAM Chaplain respects the religion, culture and traditions of members of the school community and the rights of parents to ensure the religious and moral education of their children are in line with their own beliefs. YOUR DREAM has, at its core, Pastoral Care. It involves a mixture of pastoral care, counselling, nurturing, teaching and support. The Chaplain journeys with students during their time of crisis, listening and providing compassionate support and helping students connect with their own inner resources.
Confidentiality
Information shared with the YOUR DREAM Chaplain is confidential and will only be shared with the school principal as a safeguarding measure and the appropriate authorities in instances where someone is at risk of being harmed.
