LEARNING ENHANCEMENT & ENRICHMENT

At Maramba Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that every student is supported to reach their full potential—whether they require additional support or opportunities for extension.

Our Learning Enhancement Team works closely with students who are performing either above or below the expected level. Support is delivered through small group sessions or one-on-one instruction, tailored to each student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals. These targeted sessions provide personalised learning experiences designed to meet each student's specific needs.

We follow the Disability Inclusion Profile process, as guided by the Department of Education, to help identify each student’s strengths, needs, and the adjustments required to support their learning. This collaborative approach ensures families and educators work together to create meaningful, inclusive learning plans.

Extension opportunities are provided through differentiated classroom teaching, ensuring all students are appropriately challenged within their everyday learning. In addition, identified students participate in small group extension programs to deepen their learning in specific areas. Students in Grades 5 and 6 can access the Victorian High Ability Program (VHAP)—state-wide initiative that provide further academic challenge and engagement.

At Maramba, we believe every learner deserves to feel empowered, supported, and inspired—no matter where they are on their learning journey.
