Year One BUPA Aged Care visit

The Year ones are learning in Discovery about Growing Older and Wiser. As a part of this unit of work, we visited the BUPA Aged Care facility in Narre Warren.  We all walked there together, being safe to cross the roads. Upon arrival, we had a quick drink and some fruit and sang our song to the residents. They really seemed to enjoy our singing and actions to “The Pushbike Song – By the Beetles.”  There were lots of activities that we prepared for everyone. Including Lego, glitter sun catchers, felt story boards, reading, play dough and paper planes. Our students enjoyed sharing small conversations with the residents and even had a competition with the paper planes.  We got caught in a little rain on the walk back, however we dried off very quickly at school. These are the students’ comments of the visit:

I really liked the rain because it was cold.  I built aeroplanes and we flew them with my friends. Cruz 1W6
