Dorian Makara-Edwards in Year 6 will be representing Team Victoria in a national softball competition, played in Sydney next week. Beginning tee ball back in New Zealand, where he was born, Dorian quick-ly realised how talented he was. Last year he joined the U/12’s at Frankston Softball Association and after just one season has been asked to play for the U/15’s, well above his age group. Dorian will be specialising in the centre outfield and on 3rd base when he represents Victoria next week and says he cannot wait to fly off to Sydney. Dorian’s mum and his two younger sisters will be making the long drive up to cheer him on. Dorian says “without the love and support of my mum, aunty and cousins, I would not have this wonderful opportunity”.
Congratulations to Dorian we hope he has a blast, as we know he will give it his all.
