District Swimming Carnival

On Tuesday 25th February twelve determined years’ 3-6 students travelled down to Noble Park Aquatic Centre to compete against five other schools in the Berwick District. Students competed in 50 metres freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly along with a freestyle and medley relay. 3/4’s Jaxon, Lucas, Nicholas and Sahil finished third in the freestyle relay. While Emma from 3/4F16 held her own extremely well to finish third in the 50 metres butterfly. Kiara from 3/4P14 starred on the day finishing second in both 50 metres backstroke and butterfly, which qualifies her for the divisional stage.

One of my favourite things was the backstroke. I was really tired but it was fun. Kiara 3/4P14

I was very excited, you have no idea how much I was shaking. I had so much fun and it was an amazing experience. Megan 5R20

Coming 3rd in the freestyle relay was the best! Nicholas 3/4F16

I enjoyed diving off the dive board and doing butterfly. Emma 3/4F16

A big well done to all students that participated and a big thankyou to all parents that came down to support.

Go Maramba!
