How to Enrol

Step 1: Take Our Online Virtual Tour

Unfortunately, we are unable to welcome you personally to Maramba Primary School at this time. However, please enjoy the virtual tour we have created for you. We hope you get a sense of our dynamic classrooms, open learning facilities and fun outdoor spaces.

Step 2: Browse through our website

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au. Findmyschool.vic.gov.au hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones for 2020 onwards.

Students residing in this zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.

The Department provides guidance through the School Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations.

You can find more information and answers to frequently asked questions on the Department’s website under School Zones.

If you have a question about school zones call the VSBA Hotline on 1800 896 950 or email vsba@education.vic.gov.au

Step 3: Talk to us!

Once you have seen what we have to offer, you may have questions and want to find out more. We love talking about Maramba Primary, so please contact us. You can call the school office during school hours or send us a message and we can arrange a personal callback.

Step 4: Fill Out An Enrolment Form

The formal enrolment process begins once an Enrolment form has been filled out and submitted to the school via email or dropped off at Reception. Once an Enrolment form has been provided to the school, it is then forwarded to the Assistant Principal and an Enrolment Interview is arranged. The Enrolment Interview is an opportunity for parents and children to meet with the Assistant Principal to discuss placement and answer any questions.

Students residing in our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. You can find out if you are in our school zone by visiting findmyschool.vic.gov.au. If your permanent residential address is outside of our school zone, you can still apply and acceptance will depend on the number of spaces still available. Please contact the school office and they will be able to discuss your options.

Step 5: Join our Footsteps into Foundation sessions

If your child is joining us in Foundation next year then register in our Footsteps into Foundation sessions. Footsteps into Foundation allows your child to experience school activities in a way that feels fun and safe; allowing your child's transition to school to be smooth and enjoyable.

The sessions in Term 4 will be focused on the transition from kindergarten to primary school allowing the teachers to start observing each child in the class environment. These observations and activities provide teachers with important information about your child's stage of development and establish the level of academic and pastoral support they would benefit from at the beginning of the school year. Your child will have the opportunity to interact with their potential class mates and teacher for next year.
